The Help Desk Technician provides assistance to any and all employees using computer hardware and software, supports information technology employees within the organization, assists non-IT users (internal and/or external) who are experiencing hardware and/or software problems.

•    Provide help desk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction
•    Monitor and respond promptly to requests received through the IT help desk portal and/or via telephone
•    Troubleshoot help desk tickets
•    Internal user support
•    Set up and configure workstations
•    Implement software
•    Manager user accounts
•    Assist in department projects
•    Perform other duties as assigned 
•    On-call rotation evenings and weekends as needed

•    1-2 years of help desk/desktop support experience
•    Associate in Computer Science or Information Systems
•    Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA, CCNA are preferred
•    Working knowledge of MS Windows 7 and 10, MS Office 365

COMPENSATION - commensurate with education/experience.

Ability to communicate verbally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial.  Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required.
Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common. Must also be able to position self to maintain equipment, including under tables and desks.

No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., picking up and carrying binders, laptops) may be required. Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners).
